Beetroot juice

 


Beetroots have a lot of health benefits and I often see that we tend to ignore beetroots in the markets. I can't remember where I saw this recipe but have been making it often these days and Amr loves to drink this after returning home from school. It is a great thirst quencher.

Recipe: Beetroot juice

Ingredients:

  • 1 small beetroot or half if large one
  • 1  red apple
  • 1/2 tsp grated ginger
  • 6-7 tbsp sugar ( you can use honey or reduce or increase the amount according to your taste)
  • 4 cups cold water

Method:

  1. Peel and slice the beetroot. 
  2. Cut the apple into quarters and remove the core. No need to peel them,
  3. Place everything in the blender. Blend until smooth. 
  4. Strain through a fine mesh sieve and squeeze out as much juice as you can.
  5. Pour into a bottle or jug and chill until needed.
