Feel good immunity booster

The last few weeks have been a very frightening week, the fear of the Wuhan virus showing its ugly face in our country. Praying that it doesn't arrive here at all. People have been very conscious of what's going on, some opting to wear a mask and most of us carrying hand sanitizers in our pockets or handbags.
Anyway, I was looking up immunity-boosting drinks when I came across these recipes called immunity-boosting shots.
Almost all of them had ginger, turmeric, and citrus.  One recipe used an apple for sweetness but I used some sugar to sweeten it and used fresh turmeric which has been sitting in my freezer for ages. Can use turmeric powder as well.

For the citrus, I used limes and orange, peeled and left whole.  It's called a shot because it's quite concentrated and one gulp makes you really get the kick of that ginger.  I don't know if it works in boosting immunity but it has all the great flu-combating ingredients like citrus, turmeric, and ginger. My little one usually wakes up with a clogged throat due to his allergies but one gulp of this actually cleared his throat a bit and he was able to enjoy his breakfast without constantly trying to clear his throat. I give this to the kids in small doses like 1/4 cup, but they love this stuff, especially my little one.

NOTE: this is not a miracle cure for all flu and colds, but it still makes you feel good, it's always good to get a flu shot each year and stick to washing your hands frequently.
