Maafuh Gulha ( Roasted Finger Millet Balls)
I love this sweet treat and it's easy to make as well. So a good one to make when you don't have time but still want to have a sweet dish on the table for iftar. Some people like to add a banana in as well but I prefer it without. It's often made for maahefun or the feast Maldivians love to have before the month of Ramadhan starts.
Yield: 16
Maafuh Gulha
prep time: cook time: total time:
ingredients:
- 1 cup Maafuh ( ground roasted Finger millet), make sure its fresh.
- 3/4 cup freshly grated coconut
- 1/2 cup sugar ( preferably fine)
- 3 tbsp (approx) water
instructions:
- Mix the coconut and sugar together, using your fingers.
- Then mix in the maafuh.
- Mix well. If it looks too dry add a tablespoon at a time of water, mixing each time.

Not sure I have ever had finger millet...but anything made with coconut is right up my alley!
ReplyDeleteIt's finger millet. Or Ragi flour.
