Meat sauce and a guest post
500g minced beef
1 onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
1/2 a carrot, grated
400 g can peeled tomatoes, crushed
2 tbsp tomato paste or puree
1 cup stock or water
Dried oregano about 1 tsp or dried herbs, use fresh if you have
Finely chopped parsley
Olive oil
1. Heat olive oil, add onions and saute till soft. Add garlic carrots and minced meat and saute’ for a few minutes.
2. Add your crushed tomatoes and herbs, I like to add a little chilli or paprika to spice it up a little when making for grown-ups.
3. Pour the stock, and cook till nice and thick.
4. Season with salt and pepper. Stir in parsley, if using .
