Storing Peeled Onions
So here is what I do, peel them nicely, use a paring knife or a small knife with a pointy end so you can easily slide through the skin without cutting the ends.
Then use a clean, damp kitchen cloth to wipe away the skin as some onions have a bit of dirt in them.
Leave them in a sunny ledge in your kitchen for an hour.
Place in a plastic container, WITHOUT THE LID!!!.
Then place it inside the fridge ( refrigerator) either in the vegetable section or on the shelf above it. Why you don't cover it is because If you do cover it water forms inside and the onions turn bad and mouldy and smelly too.
If your fridge does start smelling place a freshly peeled orange rind inside and that gets rid of the smell.
