A week a go my hubby came home with the news that he has been invited to go on a health fair that was organised by Conrad Resort. The fair was part of their giving back to community kind of thing which was held on a near by island of Fenfushi. The resort administration had called him and a two other doctors over for this and invited the families to come along, all expenses paid!.
So off we went by sea plane ( Trans Maldivian, ) a 30 minute ride, from Ibrahim Nasir International Airport.
Conrad Resort is two islands joined by bridge.

We were given a beach front villa, with our own little pool , and a small path that led straight to the beach.

What more can you ask, for those who want a little more adventure , the island did offer loads of water activities and even a kids club with a play ground a splash pad for some water activity.
While the my hubby was busy the whole day at the fair, the boys and me and another mum and her kids went off on a glass bottomed boat to check out the reef.
Loads of beautiful fishes on the reef.

Food was ok ( I had high expectations) ,we tried just two restaurants, the Atoll Market and Rangali Bar but there are loads of other restaurants to try and of course ,we got to visit ( not dine) the world famous Ithaa restaurant, the first undersea restaurent in the world.

Would have loved to dine there but maybe another if we got a chance to go again.

The main pool was stunning , it looked like it was part of the beach and had a kiddie pool right next to it.

But what really stood out was the service!! Always ready to help and assist in any thing and were great with kids as well!. So a big thumbs up for the service!!! So a big thank you for the Conrad resort , for making it a short but memorable two day stay for us ( wish we could have stayed the whole week end though :) )
So those visiting I leave you with the peaceful site of sun rise ..... the sheer quiet , just the sound of waves gently crashing or rather lapping on to beach, and the chirping of birds, I had some peace and quiet.......
Its madness on the street these few days :( , I could use another trip like that and hopefully these politicians will stop mud slinging and start building a country rather than create havoc.
